Just 26 kilometers away from Casa Inglesa Roosa is the beautiful Turtle Gorge, also known as “Pego das Pias”. This natural oasis is a paradise for hikers, nature lovers and adventurers. Formed by the Ponsul River, the gorge offers spectacular views of rock walls, waterfalls and emerald pools.

The gorge can be admired via an easily accessible hiking trail that winds along the river. During the walk you will pass several waterfalls, where you can cool off with a refreshing dip. Reservoir Barragem Santa Clara (distance: 35 km)

Hiking route Shrine of Nossa Senhora das Neves (distance: 9 km)
The walking route to the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora das Neves is just 9 kilometers away from Casa Inglesa Roosa. This picturesque route of 12.4 kilometers takes you through the Parque Natural do Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina, where you can enjoy unforgettable views of the Portuguese landscapes. The route to the Shrine of Nossa Senhora das Neves has been a popular pilgrimage for pilgrims from all over the region for centuries. During the walk you will pass several chapels and crosses, which reflect the devotion of the local population.
